요양보호사 교육프로그램의 효과에 대한 연구

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of an educational program in knowledge, attitude, self efficacy, self esteem, and peer relations for students studying to be certified caregivers. Method: Participants for this study were 35 students participating in an educational program between March 3 and June 10, 2008. Data were collected before and after the adminstration of the program. Frequency and paired t-test with the SPSS Win 14.0 program were used to analyze the data.
There was a significant increase in students' knowledge and a significant decrease in their self efficacy after the educational program. However, there were no differences in the scores for attitudes, self esteem and peer relations before and after the educational program.
The results of this study suggest that students who are to be certified caregivers need additional educational programs to improve self-confidence in providing high quality of care for the elderly population.
